A Woman’s Place


In this story, it talks about woman reporters who are form Arab that doesn’t have equal voice in story like men, also it talks about how woman in Saudi Arabia, so called conducted “scientific” reports claiming that allowing women to take the wheel would lead to a surge in prostitution, pornography, homosexuality, and divorce, also and to virginity. And in Egypt, they witnessed that country coming together for recent parliamentary elections, women were subject to beatings and detention for standing alongside male demonstrators, and the Egyptian security force would hauled off women encamped with male protesters for “Virginity tests”, and if they wasn’t a virgin they would say detention and threats of charges of prostitution.
 
Also it stated that most women would be harassed by sexual violence so they would stay in the house and off the streets, and won’t make trouble for their husband. And Jamie Tarabay also stated that “Attack on female journalists is nothing new. Neither I nor any of my female friends who have worked as foreign correspondents have escaped unscathed”.
