Very powerful storms hit towns of Indiana. On Friday several tornadoes, spawned across multiple sates in the South and mid west causing critical injuries and widespread damage from Alabama to south central Indiana. Law enforcement reported that most of the damage had happen to a town called Maryville, Ind and a high school in nearby Henryville was leveled. At least five people were killed in Indiana, according to the NBC news.
Also by mid afternoon, an unusually large tornado churning through south central Indiana in the areas of Henryville, Borden and Maryville causing deep concern about the potential for devastation and serious injuries in the aftermath. In Harrison area, the newspaper reported that six to eight people were seriously injured and about 20 homes were torn from their foundation.
